Today is the day!  I have officially settled to move out of the downtown showroom into our new home studio at Eastside Austin.  I am super excited for this move as it will give me a lot more space to bring in many more vintage dresses and accessories.  Martha (our wolf form and mannequin head) is also thrilled to share the space with Aletha, the original Ledbelly dress form.  Hehe...
The new Ledbelly studio will have so much light, high ceilings, concrete floors, and silver white walls!  Although it is brand new, it has the same characteristics of an old home.  It will also have it's own entrance and a fitting room.  Can't wait!

The Ledbelly design will stay industrial but I have so much to think about in terms of displaying amazing antiques and vintage items.  I will incorporate a lighter color scheme with touches of seasonal flowers and plants to make the environment a little more inviting.

Here are a few inspirational pics.    Follow the "Ledbelly Inspiration" board for more.

Due to the location, Ledbelly will stay by appointment but of course, you are welcome to invite as many friends as you'd like.  Make an appointment, "make yourself at home" and treat yourself to coffee, champagne or macaroons while shopping for an outstanding outfit.

Starting today, Ledbelly will not be taking any more appointments until settled in our new place.  Online orders are still welcome.  Stay tuned for more Ledbelly updates!

As always, thank you customers and followers!  Can't wait to share more about our new location and see you again soon.

"Ledbelly" is a unique spelling of the nickname given to the famous folk and blues singer, Huddie "Lead Belly" Ledbetter.  The surname is a common thread of Huddie and owner, Melinda Ledbetter.
