Ledbelly Update - Austin Vintage Shop

It's an all new season and for us, this means change!  Today, we would like to share the inspiration behind Ledbelly and where we plan to take it.  

The name "Ledbelly" derives from combing our last name with the soul of Lead Belly blues.  Songs like The Midnight Special and House of the Rising Sun makes us appreciate what we have and what we can offer.   

Besides enjoying the sounds of blues and jazz, we are golden era fashion extremist and aim to bring back that style.  Our biggest inspiration are shops like Dear Golden and Dandy's.  At Ledbelly, we strive to offer genuine vintage products so that you feel you're taken back on time and feel great in what you're wearing.

This season, we are updating our showroom, replacing products, and introducing all new garments and accessories. We are ecstatic to make this change with several new displays including a wolf dress form and a head display we will call Martha, after Lead Belly's wife.

Ledbelly will specialize in products perfect for vintage vixens, housewives, weddings, and events.  We aim to bring back the classy style of women's 1920s - 1950's, not just for a costume party but for every day use.  We welcome you to contact us if you're interested in consignment or selling what you own.  We are interested in dresses, lingerie, aprons, brooches, and hats.
